What is a live kratom plant?
A live kratom plant is a living kratom tree: Mitragyna speciosa, the same species kratom leaf comes from. We sell live plants for home cultivation rather than kratom seeds, which are notoriously slow and unreliable to germinate. Kratom is a tropical evergreen in the coffee family (Rubiaceae), native to Southeast Asia, and growing your own kratom tree is a long-term project for plant enthusiasts and collectors.
Kratom plant cultivars
We offer live plants in several named cultivars, each propagated from established Mitragyna speciosa stock:

Growing kratom plants
Kratom is a tropical tree that needs consistent warmth, high humidity, and bright but filtered light. It is not frost-hardy, so in most US climates growing kratom plants means keeping them indoors, in a greenhouse, or moved inside for the cooler months. Young plants do best with steady moisture and protection from cold drafts.
