What is Kava 30% Extract?

Kava 30% Extract is a concentrated extract of Piper methysticum standardized to 30% kavalactones by weight. It sits in the middle of our kava concentration range, more potent than traditional ground root and a step below our 70% extract. It is produced by concentrating the kavalactones from kava root, so a small amount of extract represents the kavalactones of a much larger amount of root.

How kava extract differs from root powder

Traditional kava is ground root prepared by kneading in water. An extract concentrates the root's kavalactones, which is why extracts are measured in grams and sold in much smaller sizes than root powder.
